Dining Opportunities Include:
Café Africa: Enjoy a variety of delicious meals and beverages in a vibrant setting.

Know Before You Go:

Stay Hydrated: Remember to take breaks and drink plenty of water. Bring a reusable water bottle; we have several refill stations throughout the Zoo to help you stay refreshed.

Cool Down Spots: Take advantage of our mister stations to beat the heat. You can also cool off in the Reptile House, Cheetah Outpost, and Café Africa, which are perfect for a break from the sun.

Animal Habitats: Animals have access to both their indoor and outdoor areas, which means during times of excessive heat, they may access cooler areas that are out of view. Note that while some habitats offer indoor viewing, not all do.

Prohibited Items: For the health and safety of our guests and animal residents the following are not permitted on zoo grounds.

  • Pets
  • Outside food & Drinks
  • Styrofoam and balloons
  • Wheeled devices like bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, hoverboards, and scooters (strollers and wagons are welcome; rentals are available in the Gift Shop)
  • Toys and sports equipment
  • Drones and firearms
  • Tobacco and marijuana products
    • Smoking and vaping are not permitted on Zoo grounds
  • Firearms—The City of Little Rock does not permit any person to carry a concealed weapon, a firearm, or a handgun on City property at any time.  Therefore guns are not permitted on the grounds of the Little Rock Zoo.
