Plan Your Visit
Explore the Little Rock Zoo!
Discover the perfect timing, essential tips, and everything you need to make the most of your visit with our comprehensive guide below:
Best Times to Visit:
- Spring & Fall: These seasons are bustling with excitement! Join us during these times to experience the Zoo at its liveliest.
- Crowd-Free Moments: For a quieter experience, opt for Mondays, Tuesdays, or afternoons any day of the week. The fall season offers particularly delightful visits.
- Note: Thursdays and Fridays mornings in spring may be busy with school groups.
- Respect for Animals: Treat our 400+ animal residents with kindness. Avoid loud noises, teasing, or throwing objects
- Animal Access: We do not restrict our animals to any specific area during Zoo hours. Animals have access to both their indoor and outdoor areas, which means some guests may not see an animal right away, however with a little patience animals become visible. We do have indoor and outdoor exhibits, but that isn't the case for all animals.
- No Feeding Policy: Please refrain from feeding the animals to maintain their health and habitat cleanliness
- Respect Local Wildlife: Allow free-ranging birds their space; avoid chasing them, especially if they have young.
- Safety First: Do not climb on or cross guardrails for your safety and the animals'.
- Pets are not allowed within the Zoo premises. Avoid leaving pets in vehicles to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Outside food and drinks can be enjoyed in the picnic area outside the front entry plaza. Guests are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles.
- Strollers & Wagons: You may bring your own strollers and wagons, or alternatively, Stroller and Scooter Rentals can be found at the Safari Trader Gift Shop.
- Service animals are welcome
- Emotional support or "therapy" animals are not considered service animals under ADA guidelines.
