An Apex Arrival: Riana the Fossa Joins the Little Rock Zoo
We’re thrilled to welcome Riana, a 16-year-old female fossa, to the Little Rock Zoo’s Small Carnivore Area. As the second fossa to join our Zoo, Riana's arrival represents our continued commitment to conservation efforts and the Species Survival Plan (SSP) for this rare species. Fossas are Madagascar’s largest carnivores, and Riana’s new habitat is designed to mimic her natural environment, featuring plenty of elevated platforms and tunnels to encourage her natural behaviors.
Come visit Riana in her new home and learn more about this incredible apex predator!
