Do you want to be a leader in your community but don’t know how?

Think you’re too young to make a difference? Do you have a passion for wildlife and the environment they live in? If these questions sound like you, then the Little Rock Zoo wants to hear from you! We’re looking for teens and a few pre-teens to help shape the future of conservation. This program is not just about animals, but about how you can use your interests to have a positive impact on our world. We will teach you about leadership, public speaking, wildlife, and much more! Due to the high demand of this program and limited spacing, students will be accepted through a selection process by applications and interviews.

Download and complete the application for your chance to join this unique program!

This program is not a hands-on animal internship. Although they will get to know keepers within the zoo, and get to learn about our animals, they will not be caring for the animals directly.

Age range: Students ages 12-18 (18 years old if still in high school). Only 20 spots are available! Five 12-13 yr olds and fifteen 14-18 yr olds.

If you have any questions feel free to call Katy Holloway, Education Program Coordinator at (501)661-7220 or email

We would love to hear from you!
