Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler – Let the Good Times Roll!
Join us to for a fun Mardi Gras Celebration on Saturday, February 18th. Amos, the alligator, will sleep through the party, but you can visit Gambit, our resident King Snake, in the Reptile house and have some King Cake in Café Africa! (Other Mardi Gras food specials include red beans & rice, gumbo, beer and wine and mini king cakes.) *While supplies last.
The Little Rock Zoo staff will have Mardi Gras decorated floats and golf carts. Even our Ambassador Animals will take part in the fun!
Guests are encouraged to join the parade with decorated strollers or toddler wagons*. Generation Zoo will offer a limited amount of festive giveaways to parade onlookers. Participants in the parade will meet by the Pollinator Garden and the base of Great Apes at 10 am. Spectators are encouraged to watch the Mardi Gras Parade from in front of the Elephant Stage and the main pathway.
*Please do not bring balloons or confetti. You may decorate or wear Mardi Gras beads, but do not throw them to the crowd. Please do not hand-out plastic giveaways. Political and offensive themes or decorations will not be allowed for this family event.
Rain will unfortunately cancel this parade.

10:00 AM Parade participants meet at the base of Great Apes to begin the parade
10:00 AM Face Painting in Plaza Echo Dome
11:00 AM Mardi Gras parade and contest – Best staff golf cart and best guest wagon/stroller
