The Green Station
Not sure what to do with old hard to recycle items like, broken electronics, or dead batteries? The Green Station is your go-to spot for recycling items that don’t belong in your curbside bin—and it’s conveniently located just seven minutes from the Zoo!
This dedicated facility accepts a wide range of harder-to-recycle household items, including:
• Household hazardous waste (like cleaning chemicals, and pesticides)
• E-waste (computers, TVs, cords, and more)
• Plastic grocery bags
• Light bulbs and household batteries
Location: 2000 S Thayer Street
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
Last Saturday of each month, 7 a.m.–1 p.m.
Please Note: The Green Station is not for everyday recyclables like cardboard, plastic bottles, or metal cans. For those, visit a local Recycling Center.
